Key points from the previous Forum Steering Committee meeting 2 Dec 2011

• Feedback on the 2011 contaminated land conference was provided. Nearly 100 delegates attended on the day with positive comments from them about the choice and quality of the talks.
• As a result of comments from the contaminated land conference, the Forum will try to integrate more with local authorities.
• The next Forum conference will be on drought and will be held in conjunction with the drought workshop planned as part of the NERC knowledge exchange water security programme. Full details to be confirmed shortly.
• New articles will be added to the Forum web site on key issues such as shale gas and groundwater dependant terrestrial ecosystems.
